At Rosie’s Place our Advocacy department doesn’t put limits on our time or support. We know that change does not happen on a schedule and help should not have an expiration date.

Rosie’s Place employs multi-lingual Advocates (who speak Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole and Portuguese) to assist women with:

  • housing
  • health and wellness care
  • education
  • employment
  • support groups
  • clothing
  • transportation
  • emergency funds (for eviction prevention, utility arrearages and prescriptions)

Whether a guest needs urgent assistance or long-term help with a complicated issue, our Advocates will be there for her.

We also host a credit counselor from American Consumer Credit Counseling, a mental health counselor, a job placement specialist and housing search specialists. By bringing these experts in-house, we are able to tailor the services to the specific needs of our guests in an atmosphere where they feel safe and supported confronting some of their most daunting challenges.

Our Advocates schedule more than 1,100 appointments with guests each month, welcoming them with compassion and unconditional help.
